Do you see dust specs in your DSLR photographs? Some DSLR models are more prone than others to attract dust on the surface of the sensor filter. The condition is bearable with a spec of dust here or there since many are able to clone out the dust with post-processing. However, if the condition becomes overly unattractive to viewers, then you sensor is due for a cleaning.
Here’s the method I use to clean my DSLR sensor on my Canon EOS 30D. There are several methods out there, but from other reviews, this method is the most practical and seems to be the most efficient at actually removing the dust from the sensor.
I use the cleaning wand from
Copper Hill Images because my local photo shop carries the Ultra Soft/Lint Free Pec Pads and Eclipse Fluid. I would suggest you thoroughly read through Copper Hill Image’s information regarding this method of cleaning as you will want to be sure you are using the correct sized sensor swab and cleaning fluid for your specific DSLR.
