The tripod is awesome...very rigid and colapses very compact...very light weight. The pan/tilt head...meh...not terrible, but not great either. I just picked up a ball head at the local camera shop that is light weight and holds 13lbs...perfect setup...compact and lightweight...looks great on this CF tripod...for a compact CF tripod/ballhead system for under $200 and that can hold up to a full-frame DSLR and 300mm f/2.8 prime lens you really can’t get any better.
