Nikon 35-70 2.8 Pre D
«

I picked up a minty 35-70mm 2.8 last weekend at a local camera show. While it won't replace my 35mm prime it is not a bad walk around lens at all.

I'll be in Louisana all week this week and will do my best once my conference is over to give it a real workout in the Big Easy next weekend.

Hummm Pre D...is that like a pre Canon EF aka FD mount in terms of mount age? If I recall correctly Nikon has done a good job at keeping all their lens mounts compatible up to the latest body right?

The D series nikon lenses are chipped to provide distance for flash. No D means no chip. I work alot in manual anyway so it's not to much of a problem to work around.
