Went by the gardens on the way to work this morning.  All shots with Lumix FZ50, +4 diopter, snooted onboard flash and handheld. Takes some getting accustomed to but I'm really enjoying shooting this rig.  Also have a +8 diopter, the Raynox DCR-250, that I need to start using.

#1 Leaf-footed plantbug nymph

#2 Ditto

#3 Ditto, again

#4 Lethargic honeybee (that's my thumb in bg...was holding the perch with left hand and the FZ in the right...it's quite un-heavy)

Thanks for looking.

Looks like you are feeling pretty comfortable with the new rig, Kenny.  I like your lighting with the other set-up better than this one (it may be due to the on-board flash)- these image are just a bit dark to me.  the last image has some fantastic details (and is razor sharp)

Thanks, John.  Should've actually opened up a little or raised the ISO on these.  They were taken before the sun came up.  Surprisingly, the little onboard flash delivers a fair amount of light thanks to the snoot design.  A friend from Aus gave me his snoot template.
