Took the Lumix by the gardens again this morning except I stuck the DCR-250 achromat, a +8 diopter, on the front.  Very hard to hold this still and a chilly breeze just exacerbated the problem.  Angry

#1 Checkerspot larva, I believe

#2 Tried to urge it into position for a headshot and it was chilly enough that the critter just curled into a ball   Cheesy

#3 Argiope aurantia that was either dead or so lethargic it just dangled  Cheesy

#4 Same arachnid (I applied NR to a layer mask on this one...does it still appear noisy?)

Nicely done, Kenny - very sharp and great details.  I do not see any evidence of noise in the last image.

I like the camera shy caterpillar.

Wow, I'm suprised that camera does such a good job at macro...very interesting.  Kenny, what did that camera run you used?
