I bought my wife a dozen red roses for our anniversary, and the flowers double as photo subjects.  These were shot in a "shooting tent" so I could control the shadows and the light.  The light was a combination of the natural light from the window and camera flash (set to -3EV) -- and a tripod was used so I could get the long exposures with the high f/stop.

I used a spray/mister to get the water drops
