Finished building a Beauty dish, I will post pics tomorrow after I take some in the new studio. It is based loosely on the tutorial found here: http://www.ishootshows.com/2010/02/09/music-photographers-diy-beauty-dish/
Mine is a little different though and I will post pics tomorrow after shooting a few of the dish. The one in the tutorial was made to use with speedlights, and mine was built to work with my studio strobes. here is a quick shot showing the buisness end.

This was on my 400ws strobes lowest power setting and my apature was all the way down at f22, the light reflection appears to be even to my eyes.

Here are more pics of the DIY beauty dish. Nothing fancy, I picked up the bowl, and 8 inch pizza dish at a local resturant supply store. Used my dremel to cut out a hole after finding center, painted and put everything together. I did measure and drill out some holes in one of my speed rings to make it easier to attach to my strobes.
