A new forum topic, and I am the lucky one to get the first thread started.  Here is a early morning image of a canal in Amsterdam (Netherlands).  I had the opportunity to spend a week in the area, and I am still working on getting my images processed.  Amsterdam (and the surrounding area) is a very photo-opporuntiy rich area.  All C&C is welcomed and appreciated.

1/100 second, f/9, ISO 200

To get this image, I needed to blend three versions of the image with different exposures to capture the shadows and highlights.  I diod not have a tripod with me (I did not want to lug it through airports)

Yea John, first topic here...man I wonder where this forum will end up going?

Any way, great capture and I can certainly see where you need to blend exposures.  You did good for not using a tripod.

Thanks for posting this.

Love the light and the colour John..  Reminds me of the Agfa Optimum film I used with my F4.
