I've just been doing jpgs but have been wondering if tiff would increase print quality. Sure are talking about a lot larger file size though.

Never really had legit customers, but for digital I would just go with 100% quality full-res jpgs and for print use tiff with a matching printer color profile.

Mike, I have done a little non-scientific evaluation of TIFF vs JPEG in relation to print quality. The bottom line is that I saw no difference in the final print quality between the two formats -- for JPEG I saved the file at quality level 12 (via Photoshop). The print size I looked at was 8x10. All processing work was the same (and color space) - just saved the file in two different formats and sent it off to the same printer (same printer profile).
Like I said - non-scientific approach. I did not look at different print sizes, and I did not look at a lot of different types of subjects (to evaluate how the JPEG compression algorithm worked on different colors/objects - i.e. fine details and broad open areas with little color change).

Ooops - still learning the lay of the land. Thought this was a discussion group for Wedding photography in general. Having said that, here are a couple images from recent weddings & engagement portraits:

Very nice shots Mike! No worries on the forum topic...it's main purpose is to display wedding photos but discussion is very okay and good as well.
