The annual air show at the Alliance Airport (North of Fort Worth on I-35W) will be held on October 30 and 31, 2010.  The Navy's Blue Angles, the Air Force's F-22 Raptor and the Army's Golden Knights will be featured.  Admission is free, but parking will cost $20 per vehicle.  More information can be found at: http://www.allianceairshow.com/

Whoa...are you going?  Man I would love to go to this.  Did you check out the $40/$50 photographer passes?  I was trying to figure out the difference between the 40/50 versions.  With the $25 parking fee included it sounds really reasonable.  Maybe we could connect here John?  I would probably want to go Saturday since Sunday is Halloween.

Hey Roy.  I did check on the photo passes (I was told that these go fast) - right now I do not know if I am going (it is fairly close by) -- I have a hard enough time figuring out what is happening next weekend.  I went several years ago (Thunderbirds were the highlight) and had a good time (the traffic at the end of the air-show was really bad).

I'm getting serious temptations for this.  I'm in a quandary which package to buy...photo pit or static photo tour.  Seems these are good deals ($50/$40 with a parking pass)  Heck you pay $25 for parking anyway.

I'll be there with a photo friend Saturday in the Photo Pit.

I hope you get some great shots, Roy.  It looks like I'll probably be in Georgia that weekend - I am hoping to get field access for a college football game.

Fantastic!  I'll look forward to your images.  When I was there a few years ago, I used my 100-400mm lens for the air show -- used a monopod to help support it and used the fastest shutter speed possible (those jets fly very fast).

I'll have a 100-400L too with a mono-pod.
